Industrial coatings contractor

Protective coatings for plant floors, steel, machinery, tanks, and more, applied by skilled technicians. An industrial coatings contractor since 1983.

Overview

Protective coatings for every part of your plant

Industrial coatings are the protective layer between your facility and what it goes through every day: forklifts, chemicals, washdowns, heat, salt air, and fire. The right one makes a floor, a beam, or a tank last years longer. The wrong one can fail within months.

We don’t sell coatings. We apply them. We look at the surface and what it’s exposed to, recommend the system, and our skilled technicians apply it.

Start with what the surface goes through

Forklifts, impact, and spills on the floor: floor coatings.

Rust, salt air, and process chemicals on steel and equipment: structural steel and machinery coatings.

What’s inside a tank, and the weather outside it: tank lining and coatings.

A fire rating on exposed steel: intumescent fire protective coatings.

Daily washdowns and inspections in a food plant: FDA and USDA approved coatings.

Water coming through walls, roofs, decks, or slabs: waterproofing.

Walls, ceilings, and metal buildings that need a tougher finish: industrial painting.

One contractor for the whole facility

Most plants need more than one of these. One shutdown can cover the plant floor, the steel overhead, and the tanks out in the yard. We scope it in one estimate and run it with one point of contact. Where steel or concrete needs blasting, we coordinate the blasting work and oversee it as part of the job.

Prep and inspection

A coating is only as good as the surface under it. Rust, oil, mill scale, and failed coatings come off first, and the surface gets the profile the coating needs. Our crews check film thickness as they go, and we inspect the work before the area goes back into service. They have OSHA 10- and 30-hour training and confined space entry training.

FAQ

Common questions

More FAQs
What are industrial coatings?

Coatings made to protect a surface, not just color it. Epoxies, urethanes, zinc-rich primers, elastomerics, and intumescents are each built to resist something specific, such as impact, chemicals, corrosion, water, or fire.

Do you sell industrial coatings?

No. We don’t sell coatings; we apply them. When you hire us, we supply the coatings, materials, and equipment for the job.

How do I know which coating my facility needs?

Tell us what the surface is, what it goes through, and how long you can shut the area down. An estimator walks the site and recommends the system in the written estimate. If a coating isn’t needed, we’ll tell you that too.

Can you fix a coating that failed?

Yes. We’ve fixed many paint and coating failures over the years. At Accumachine, a floor coating put down by another contractor failed within six months. We removed it, prepped the slab, and applied a new epoxy system with a polyurethane topcoat.
