Superior protection and quality results
The tanks in your industrial facility require special attention, particularly if they hold anything that's meant for consumption. It's essential that your tanks are prevented from leaking, rusting, or corroding, as this leads to loss of product through leaks or contamination. To get the coatings right, you need professional contractors with experience in industrial settings.
At Raider Painting, we understand the needs of your business. We've worked exclusively with commercial and industrial companies for more than 29 years, and we know the industry inside and out.
What can tank coatings do for you?
Whatever your tanks hold, these structures must be able to withstand constant pressure, both from their contents and the environments that surround them. The interiors have to remain clean and leak-proof, while the exteriors must be protected from grease, chemicals, and— depending on whether they're inside or outside your facility—damage due to the elements.
There are many different types of coatings that can be used for the interiors and exteriors of tanks. Interior coatings are often highly specialized according to the contents of the tank, and must be applied by contractors with excellent product knowledge.
Exterior coatings are generally protective in nature. Waterproofing and corrosion resistance are main qualities for exterior tank coatings. For outdoor tanks with temperature-sensitive contents, reflective or UV protective top coatings should be used. Epoxy coatings with polyurethane top coats are typically exceptional choices here, as epoxy resin is a durable material that withstands abuse.
See our work in action.
We coated the interiors and exteriors of the massive tanks at Westway Feed Products. For the interiors, we prepped the surface by sandblasting to SSPC-SP10 requirements, and then applied a Dura Plate coating, using special spray equipment due to the viscosity of the material.
On the exteriors, we sandblasted to SSPC-SP6 standards and applied an epoxy coating with a polyurethane top coat for UV protection. We then coated the walls, stairs, and roofs of the tanks for a uniform look and complete protection.
