At Raider Painting, we pride ourselves in our deck painting services. Not only do painted floors and decks look better and require less maintenance, but our experts’ deck painting knowledge and skills can make your floors safer for all who use them. But why is deck coating necessary? And how does deck coating work? In this article, you’ll find all the information you need in order to help you make the right decision about deck coating.

Our deck coatings are based around epoxy resins. Epoxy resins are suitable for nearly every type of flooring surface imaginable because of the science which underpins their formulation. A chemical reaction takes place between the epoxide compounds, the bisphenol A and the epichlorohydrin organochlorine in our products. This reaction results in the creation of cross-linked epoxies – in plain English, it means that your floors and surfaces will be protected against water, fire, air intrusion, chemical spillages and almost anything else you can throw at them.

Furthermore, epoxy-based products have incredible adhesive capabilities – they won’t budge once they’ve been painted on. Epoxy-based formulas provide 1,500 pounds of adhesion pressure per square inch of flooring. This means that your flooring is not only protected, but that the protection will last, so you can spend less time and money maintaining your deck.

In addition, epoxy resin-based formulas are very adaptable and can be used in conjunction with other products. As a result, we can offer you deck coatings such as epoxy-amine and epoxy-sulfide products, in order to create precisely the look, texture and finish that you want.
