JC Penney hired us to recoat the support beams and pipes of the cooling towers located on the roofs of multiple locations throughout California. Surfaces were prepped per SSPC-SP2 and SSPC-SP3. Additional prep was performed with hand & power tool cleaning to remove all loose mill scale and loose rust, by power grinding, power tool chipping, and power tool descaling. A base coat of macropoxy epoxy and a UV protective top coat of high solids polyurethane was applied.
